Singapore has become synonymous with the iconic outdoor infinity pool which has an incredible view across the city's skyline.
Unfortunately, you have to be a hotel guest to get in, but it is well worth the surreal experience. Order some chilled watermelon wedges (or truffle chips!), passion fruit coolers and snuggle into the plush towels. What are you waiting for?!
SKY ON 57 & KU DÉ TA
Alternatively, dine at SKY ON 57or go party at KU DÉ TA to experience the same sights for a cheaper price! Ladies get free entry and drinks every Wednesday.
Just Do It!
Although it is nearly impossible to run outside in this country where humidity is between 70%-90%, sometimes you just have to clear your head and escape the city!
Run along the Singapore River for a 6km or the Kallang River for a more challenging 9.5km route. Here's a map! Or sign up for the Color Run in Sentosa and enjoy the pre-party at the W Hotel!
When I was studying at SMU, I lived in Dakota and the street food at the Old Airport hawker was basically all I ate. It happens to be one of the best in Singapore, dishing out local favorites since 1973.
There are 168 stalls serving legendarily delicious meals like char kway teow, chicken rice and laksa. Meals are only around SGD 5-7 (£2-4) and amazing tropical blended smoothies are only a pound.
It's probably the best Asian dining experience in Singapore. The local aunties preparing the food normally don't speak a word of English, so it's best not to ask to many questions and just smile.
Located on 19 Old Airport Road.
Din Tai Fung
My Swedish bestie once said that she wanted to eat so many dumplings that they would "literally be popping out of her ears!" Apparently this is a phrase used in Sweden when something is very, very good.
Din Tai Fung is michelin star awarded and ranked as one of the world’s Top Ten Best Restaurants by The New York Times.
My favorite dumplings have to be the xiao long bao! Each little dumpling is a soup-filled pouch topped with a juicy piece of steamed shrimp. The steamed chilli crab and pork buns are also to die for.
Urban Oasis @ The Lantern
It's not hard to believe that the stunning Fullerton Bay Hotel has an even more remarkable rooftop bar.
Overlooking the Marina Bay waterfront, you can catch the beautiful light show which starts every evening at 8PM. Have the deliciously refreshing Hibiscus Royale Sling and enjoy the urban oasis.
